New website with medium competition

Hey guys,

wanting to rank for a few main keywords in my niche.

the KD on my main two are 41 & 48, I'm new to SEO but I understand the technical onsite & offsite optimizations that need to be made (aside from backlinking).

My question is, should I try and tackle these keywords or should I go for the low hanging fruit with low volume + low KD?

Any advice appreciated.
