Ranking competitive keywords with homepage URL?

Hello reddit SEO, today I would like to ask your opinions on ranking keywords with homepage. I have a business selling tiles and bathroom appliances. For the tiles stuff, i have managed to rank pretty well on almost all important keywords through content and backlinking. It’s more straightforward.

However, for the bathroom products, I haven’t been able to figure out a way to rank. Researches using Ahref, I found that most highly ranked competitors are using their homepage. There are very few contents that I could find, probably due to the nature of the products. There are not that many things to write about.

So in this situtation, what would be the best course of action to compete? I’m considering:

• Set up seperate domains to target “bathroom appliances” niche.
• Improve social presence though youtube, facebook...etc....to drive traffic to website.

What else could I do? Thanks for all your help!
