publicly editable .edu subdomains - anyone ever seen this?

I just found a bunch of backlinks from a competitor of mine with .edu subdomains that just have an "edit" button and you can just straight up edit any comment or text block, inserting whatever dofollow links you want. No login literally click edit and apply.

Has anyone ever seen such an unfathomable thing and do I dare replace their links with mine haha
