Outranking Amazon, WalMart, Lowe's, etc

Anyone have success outranking Amazon and other big box for a particular brand/ product? I have an opportunity to resell but would need to create a niche website from scratch. I know that content and optimization will be key since the big box guys won't be doing any of that. Any idea on timeline to get to first page of google? Possible to get within top 3 in 1 year? Monthly keyword volume for niche is ~ 5.5k and 39% keyword difficulty on SEM rush. Brand is 1.3k and 34% difficulty. Will be doing FB, Google Ads and hiring SEO specialist if this seems doable.
