I managed to get the wrong traffic
I have a brick and mortar store and I started e commerce a year ago (because of the pandemic of course), I still am a total SEO noob!
I tried to learn as much as I can and kept going writing content. Too much information that I learned and I didn't realise the importance of search intend... I thought get some traffic and conversions will follow!
So now I have a decent amount of traffic by people looking for information about general topics that are somehow related to my products and of course I have a really small conversion rate.
Technically, aesthetically, speed etc my site is at least average to various ecommerce sites and certainly better than my competitors.
Now I am learning more about the subject and I will try to write more focused content for commercial use.
My question(s) is:
Is my "old informational" content that gets traffic useless? Can it be something that I can use to increase my conversion rate (how?). Is there a thing as useless traffic?
Thank you all in advance...
