Creating Sharable/Attractive Links for Asian language pages?
Hi, I'm a content marketing manager at this small company. We just hired a content marketer to create content for our Mandarin-speaking customers and she's preparing lots stuff for online. All of our competitors continue to serve English content to this segment, so we'd prefer to keep as much in Mandarin as possible - including the URLs. I notice though that while these URLs look like nice in some browsers, they get percent encoded in others or if I try to share the URL outside the browser (like in an email or something).
Does a non-unicode URL have any consequences for SEO? If not, does anyone have any advice for me to do this, or to research?
Thanks!
