Are these considered highly competitive keyword(s)?

"Electrician Sydney Australia" or "landscaper Miami Florida"?

If so, how long could one expect to rank to FIRST page, you know assuming everything is done properly and you're competing against other small businesses (not a mega corp like microsoft or Nestle or something).

I ask because I see a ton of variation with claims of a few weeks to a few months to over a year...so what is it? My scans of the competition on first page tells me these companies are all 10-20 years old with perhaps younger internet presence.
