Any benefits to adding post date within the URL of a blog post?

Hi! Can any specialists, enthusiasts, or experts chime in on adding date as part of a URL structure for a blog?

http://www.website/articles/2021/12/20/awesome-blog-post 

I would personally omit the date but I haven't worked with SEO for a couple of years so I'm not sure about contemporary practice. This question is only meant for a website that uses a blogging architecture.
