Advice on targeting a keyword without specifically mentioning said keyword.....(local SEO)

Hiya I thought Id ask advice about this and see if anyone has some better ideas than me (most likely) So where I have a client in an industry, lets say "car salesman". Now the national board of car salesman decided that car salesman are not allowed to call themselves "car salesman" anymore or they will get fined. They are allowed no mention of it on their website or anything. Everyone looking for a car salesman ironically enough uses the keyword "car salesman" to find them (according to traffic stats). Its completely retarded. How would you go about ranking for that? Obviously target synonyms - any other great ideas?
