So I’ve posted before but I’m looking for a little further advice/thoughts.
The brand I’m working with is going for a rather difficult keyword with around 39,000 average searches a month. We’ve been working on moving up the SERPs since January and yesterday we were bottom of page 1/top of page 2.
Today, we were #2 for the term for a few hours and then #1 for the rest of the day (8 hours). After that time we bounced back down to bottom of page 1/top of page 2.
Nothing changed on the site at all minus some speed improvements in the code that should only help the SERPs.
What can I attribute to this sort of massive spike and then fall from grace?
Thoughts?
