How to just know how often someone searches for something?

I see all these SEO tools and they are very expensive per month, kwfinder, semrush, etc.

All I need to do is know how often people search certain terms, a few hundred unique terms. I need to know which ones are rarely searched, which ones get a lot of searches, which one gets a few spikes in searches per average month, etc. basically I need to know which terms have good potential for traffic and which terms have no potential for traffic. And it’s only from a specific set of a few hundred unique terms I need, and ability to check a few dozen new terms a month at the most.

I don’t even know if these premium SEO tools even have this option. It’s hard to know where to start even though.
