Google Sandbox is a Crawl Budget Issue?
Not sharing a theory. I am just asking for your views on it. Some SEOs believe that Google doesn't rank new websites because Sandbox blocks them for a certain period of time to rank older websites. First of all, Google has confirmed multiple times that domain age is not a ranking factor. It is just a correlation that older websites perform better.
Now coming back to the topic, crawling is the first step of Google checking a webpage, and indexing comes next. I recently came across a website that was 3-5 months old yet had 50+ posts (500+ words, some posts could even go to 2000 words). But when I checked the crawl stats, it showed 202 crawls in the past 90 days. Now how can the web pages even rank with that? There were around 500+ images on the site too and many other file types.
It is just an example but I am sure you can find many such cases. That's why I believe that most new websites just have a crawl budget issue. But I want to know your opinions on it. Where do you think I am wrong and what other important factor do you think I am missing here?
