Semrush recommended text length

How necessary is it to optimise the content text length recommended by Semrush? I have 800 words content on each of my collection page however semrush recommends 1084 words for some of my collection page after the top competitors analysis. I’m not sure whether I need to add more word counts and optimise them accordingly unless 1084 words are only a recommendation and my current 800 word works. Suggestions appreciated. Thanks
