Beginner to SEO, Advice welcome

Hello everyone!

I’m new to SEO and trying to switch careers and build a career in digital marketing.

I was wondering if you all had any good (and well-explained) resources to learn from, tidbits of knowledge, or words of wisdom that a complete beginner would find useful.

As I look at job descriptions, I noticed SEO kept coming up over and over again. I know what it is, but not how to do it. Currently watching AHRefs videos on YouTube to try and learn the basics.
