I’m building a site at the moment and this is my first time dabbling with SEO. I’ve heard that it’s practically impossible to rank a landing page and one is better off just doing everything to optimize conversion rather than SEO, otherwise you’ll get the benefits of none.

The only issue is my home page is my landing page and I’m not sure whether I should be concerned about it not ranking well and affecting the growth of other child pages that it links to. Is this something that I should be concerned about?
