Looking to start a blog! What resources should I use?

Hi! It’s been on my mind for awhile now. I’m thinking of starting a blog so that I can pen down my thoughts and have it in black and white for myself to look back on when I’m older.

I journal too, but there’s an allure to having some entries online. If it helps just one person navigate through their life better, I’d be content.

What resources do you recommend? e.g. wordpress, web hosting sites etc.

The goal here is to start small and start writing whatever I want to first. Eventually though, I want to make sure I’m optimising my SEO and creating a legitimate, nice looking blog.

Would like a website that allows me to do so (= be able to revamp my website if need be after time when I get more serious)
