How do url parameters created by Google Optimize affect seo?
I want to run a content test on a specific product page on my site, and Google Optimize gave me a url parameter to add to the link to get users into the A/B test.
The parameter adds a paragraph and an image in the body of the page.
The parameter actually works on any page, meaning that I can add it to another product page and the content I want to test will also show up there.
Does this mess with seo at all? Specifically, I'm concerned that google ot might crawl pages twice because there are now 2 versions of every page. Duplicate content shouldn't be a problem because all pages canonicalise to themselves.
