Duplicate content between landing pages

Hey everyone,

Extremely new to SEO and I'm just messing around trying to rank a website I'm working on while I'm at Uni.

I have a few basic landing pages that all have relatively the same content (think service + City).

I've been told that all the pages should be almost entirely unique, but right now they're all just changing the city name, my question is I have a week off uni and I'm looking to put more time into my website so would it make sense to completely re-write all of the pages around those cities. Some of them are currently ranking (some even first).
