Question About Re-Posting Long-Lost Content

I had a blog that I let expire around 2016. It was never a big deal BUT one post on the site did get really good traffic. Like, REALLY good. I was young(ish) and dumb and I let my domain expire. Someone bought it and used the Wayback Machine to replicate that one high-traffic page - they copied the content that I worked hard to write, word for word. I can now see that they have let their domain expire. Am I safe to copy my OWN work from the Wayback Machine and post it on my current site? Any tips for doing this and avoiding a penalty? I feel like it could be the difference between Mediavine or not for me. THANK YOU.
