What are your first few steps when onboarding an SEO client?

Long story short:- I'm versed in Facebook Ads and solely Facebook Ads- A business partner managed to close an SEO client [A private education institution]- I'm aware of the best practices for on-site and off-site SEO

Questions here are:

1. What do you guys do on a daily basis to maintain or approach ranking a website higher? (Daily maintenance)
2. What are some things that you outline/highlight to your clients at the onset (Expectations management)
3. What are some of the key assets and things you do to fully onboard a client?
4. Assuming the client does not have any subscription to any SEO tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc (I'm also not exactly sure what these tools do), are there any free tools that I should take not of that would be essential in helping a website rank higher/maintain the ranking?

I'm meeting this client for the first time with my business partner tomorrow and I'm not exactly sure what things should I cover during the meeting.

My goal is to fully onboard the client so I wouldn't have to keep communicating with them back and forth with regard to these admin matters.

Here's my plan of action so far: [ I would deeply appreciate any comments or additional things I could include during the meeting :) ]

1. Access to their web provider (WordPress)
2. Convey that I'm first going to do a full website analysis to fix any broken links, typos, and improve the speed of the website by reducing image/video/gif sizes (Mainly reliant on Google Lighthouse)
3. Confirm their payment details to be added to my Google Ads account so any Google Ads billing will be made directly to their card
4. Request for all assets they have with regard to their company/organization
5. Understand what's their objectives and expectations from this management of their SEO
6. What keywords do they want to rank for and whether or not they are open to following my judgment
