Which metric is the most important when looking at a possible backlink?

Really curious how do you people pick websites for backlinking? Which metric is most important for you (traffic, DA, spam score, other?)

Some websites have higher DA and charge more for backlinks, others have lower DA and more traffic, but charge lower. Really don't know how to get the most valuable backlinks, because I don't know which metric is the most important.
