SEO friendly screen casting software

I want to create a few instructional tutorials for my website. Aside from the user value, It would be great also to take advantage of any SEO benefits for this content. Are there any screen casting options that provide SEO tools?

My goal is website traffic but I'm also unsure whether I should have youtube host the video or if I should have the video saved on my website server.
