GSC Says my pages are indexed but they aint

When I use GSC's URL inspection tool, I see the following status for the URL's in question:

URL is on Google

It can appear in Google Search results (if not subject to a manual action or removal request) with all relevant enhancements.

However, I manually check to see if those same URL's are on Google in 2 ways:

1. entering in site:mydomaindotcom/ and looking to see if it shows up (nothing)
2. Copy pasting a unique chunk of text from the article in quotes into google i.e. copying "this is my cool blog article, here's how to do this cool thing" and pasting it into google in quotes (nothing)

"URL is on Google" status means that those 2 tests should show their respective pages right? Is it an error, or am I mistaking something?
