Regex in GA Goals not working as expected

Hello everyone,

Ive been building this regex in Goal tracking in Google Analytics. In theory it should only be tracking the following URLs (even when using regex testers), but for some reason its not working like regex filtering should.

Using

^\/thank-you\/$|^\/vielen-dank\/$|^\/es\/gracias\/$|^\/nl\/dank-u-voor-uw-aanvraag\/$

Should only track these in Goal Setup in GA specifically:

• /thank-you/
• /vielen-dank/
• /es/gracias/
• /nl/dank-u-voor-uw-aanvraag/

Is picking up these

• /thank-you-quote/
• /thank-you-service/
• /thank-you-for-asking...
• /thank-you-for-your-...
• /campaign/thank-you-...

and others

What am I doing wrong please? Thank you
