SEO and Subdomains

I have a client in the cannabis industry looking to create a subdomain to house the menu shop.dispensary.com as an example URL. Currently the menu is in an iframe but the subdomain can be hosted and maintained by Dutchie.

Has anyone had experience with subdomains and e-commerce? Are the pages indexed?

Edit: would it be worth it for this client to move their menu to a subdomain?
