Stop Holding Back Your Websites, A Free Guide On Internal SEO

So oftentimes I see tons of people speak of SEO as just backlinking and other external SEO techniques; however, in my short time in the SEO industry I've seen tons of businesses with strong backlink structures but little to no traffic or traffic that doesn't convert and the main reason for this most of the time is a lack of internal SEO. Internal SEO is the foundation for all websites rankings and will ultimately determine the category or keywords your website will appear for, which is why it's so crucial to really understand it and lay a strong foundation. Because of this, I thought it may be helpful to everyone both business owners and SEO agencies work for me to list some of my internal SEO strategies, and please feel free to add to it in the comments or even just ask questions about the overall methods. So here are a few internal SEO strategies that I use in my everyday SEO work.

• Keyword Research (Super simple; however, if forgotten can ruin an SEO strategy)
• Including Industry Related Keywords Within Content (Simple but super important)
• Title Tag Optimizations
• Heading Tag Optimizations
• Meta Descriptions (Doesn't count as a ranking factor but still appears for potential users)
• Alternative Text On Images
• Compressing Images (Helps with loadspeeds)
• Increasing word Count To Individual Pages
• Creating Individual Service Or Location Pages
• Create A Blog Targeting Popular Search Phrases Around An Industry
• Interlink Pages Through The Use Of Anchor Text

These are just a few internal SEO changes you can always make to your website to increase the overall internal SEO strength. I know many of you experts may say this is super simple and basic SEO; however, often times the basics are overlooked and because of that your client's websites tend to suffer. I've used these exact strategies in my everyday SEO and have been able to take certain clients from 100 views a year to 3000 views a month so it's worth a try.
