The Most Nerve Racking Client Meeting
(Figured I repost this in case anyone has a similar story)
About a week ago I got a text from one of my SEO clients saying "Hey do you have time for a phone call" now normally this client is a very hands-off client so I was pretty worried that he might cut off my services despite us making some great progress with his ranking over the past months. I called him back right after the text and was met with a "Hey I'm a little busy right now I'll call you back later"
Now if you knew me in person you would know that I tend to get bad anxiety so this wait made things a little harder for me and my mind began to wonder. Eventually, hours passed, then a day, then multiple days until my client finally shot me another text saying "Hey I'll call you in an hour" finally the moment I had been waiting for and at this point, I just wanted an answer whether it was positive or negative as the suspense was killing me. I finally heard my phone ring and it was him, I answered and by his mood, I can tell nothing seemed to be wrong but maybe he wasn't trying to tip me off to the bad news. After some short small talk he finally said "Hey Justin, I'm actually looking to get some extra marketing done for my sister's businesses think you could help out?" At this point not only was I relieved but I was ecstatic. Not only was my client staying but he was also bringing in two new referrals. This was some of the greatest news I had gotten all month and honestly, I'm so happy the situation finished with a happy story as this week has been a tough one for me. Hopefully, some of you can either relate or get some inspiration from this story as this near heart attack experience finally concluded for me in a positive way.
