So I have a website on godaddy made from website builder, it looks very good. Anyway I also have a subdomain on cpanel with identical content. I’m told that this will be bad for SEO so I wanted to unpublish my subdomain (since it was only there for a backup anyway). I don’t really know what I’m doing but I managed to make it so if you try and go to the subdomain you will be prompted to enter a username and password. My question is wether or not this will also stop google from indexing that content on the subdomain. Can anyone help clarify this? Thank you!
