Homepage or Specific Product Page for Paid Guest Blogs

Hi, I have been working on a project where I am getting High Quality Paid Guest Blogs to increase my Google SERP ranking. I have seen some of my competitors who are getting their paid backlinks redirected to their home page and not their product pages (or the pages they are targeting the keywords for)

I am confused which is the better strategy because what my competitors are doing is working really well for them.

Currently the paid blogs that I am getting contain about 2-3 unique anchor within them. For eg if I am targeting "Awning Supplier" keyword then I am adding an anchor text 'Awning Supplier' within my blog and the anchor is redirecting to my Awnings Product page on my website

Please let me know if there's some other strategy that you have implemented and has worked for you.
