Google says submitted URL not selected for canonical, but then says it's indexed?

I have a page on a website that the Search Console shows as "Duplicate, submitted URL not selected as canonical" (page is submitted in sitemap).

However, when I inspect the URL to see which page Google has selected as the indexed version, it shows that same URL as being indexed correctly. I can't find any possible other versions, either.

Does anyone know what the reason for this might be?
