Should I use backlink for homepage or blog page?

Hey guys, might be a silly question but I’d appreciate the help. I recently did an interview for a US based site and I’m wondering if I should use the backlink I get for my homepage or for my blog? I only sell in Australia so I won’t get sales from traffic I’m more concerned about SEO.

Initially, I thought if I lead them to my blog I might get more readers, helping the articles rank. But now I’m thinking it might be better to just link it to my home page as it would be better for my home page to rank?

This is a pretty high authority site so I don’t want to waste this link!
