One man team vs. 20+ digital marketing teams - hope?

Hey guys,

Last year I started my own e-learning website while being in high school. My peers really liked what I was doing and slowly joined me. I was leading a 7 men team and thus I was able to focus all of my efforts into SEO.

The website is doing well, and everybody is happy. I would say that I have learned enough to be considered decent/intermediate at SEO.

Last week my dad told me that his company (an engineering company with 10,000+ employees all around the world) is looking for a position as an online presence manager (with focus on SEO).

I've reached out to them and they basically take me as long as I provide them with a decent proposal.

Company history:

They just started operations in my country [not disclosing country bc it would be too easy to guess the company for somebody with experience in the field]. They are originally positioned in Europe and have their marketing teams their, but none in my country yet.

They have 200k+ backlinks with decent quality and good relevance but only ~1000 search traffic in my country. (all backlinks are from Europe, my country isn't in Europe). Semrush authority score (~40)

Question (1): Do those backlinks count for anything in my country even though they are from different countries?

As there exists essentially nothing - thus there exists nothing to improve - I naturally gravitated towards comparing the company with their competitors.

The competitors are about the same size as my company (in terms of company size and relevance), but their internet presence is astonishing. And I mean REALLY astonishing - like 1M+ organic searches, 3M+ backlinks, 80+ authority score, 10min Avg Time on page, 24% bounce rate - type of astonishing.

As I am writing my proposal, I have come across some questions that I hope you can help me with:

Question (2): How much would I charge per hour for a project like this? (I only worked on my own sites, so I never really looked into the cost of hiring SEO's)

Question (3): I'm obviously will have no chance of competing against those other websites - which I will state clearly as often as I can - however, in your opinion, what would give the company the most online presence for the buck?

Question (4): Any general advice?

BTW, I'm currently going to uni - so this would be a part-time 20h/week position.

I've numbered the questions so they are easier to answer.

Thank you guys, I really appreciate you helping me!
