Best way to remove content without penalties?

I'm working with a company that currently has a podcast series with each episode posted on their website almost in a blog format, however it is... Problematic content, to say the least, and really needs to not be on their site as a professional company.

We made the decision today to remove it from the site, but I'm unsure of the best way to go about it without potentially incurring penalties for deleting content. Any suggestions?
