Ever wondered what's an Old GNews Approved Site? Why is it so rare to find and works so good?

I have a small observation and a sharing from my learnings trying out Google News sites from the past 2 years.

Now, these domains aren't some basic domains that somehow got approved with Google News, there used to be a manual process to get them approved before 2019 and google stopped it and these domains are extremely hard to find and it's purely luck that you sometimes stumble upon some of them.

Let me tell you, these sites can take off pretty fast. I've seen people get to 100k+ views a month in just a couple of months. It's that fast.

All it takes is consistent posting and playing in volume. That's it. No major SEO thing to worry about and you'd be surprised to see that these sites stay for DECADES!

Literally, just check any huge site, for example thehollywoodreporter, buzzfeed, scoopwhoop and it is Old Edition Google News.

You can even appear in Top Stories and straight away steal the traffic of blogs ranking within minutes if you're quick enough to write a post on an event that just took place.

I myself just wait for 3-6 months and I haven't failed on a single site from the past few years.

Now, here's the part which comes off as a huge problem. Domain Availability.

You just can't get a good Old Edition easily and most of the market is occupied with over hyped Affiliate Sites and Expired Domains. People are just not aware of this opportunity.

If I talk about my vendors, I mostly acquire them through private brokers or individuals who used to own them and got them approved before the 2019 thing happened.

I might have some domains that could use an owner as I've got a lot of them now lol. If you're interested, let me know lol.

Anyways, coming back to the point.

The prices are usually $5-7k for such domain and it's pretty easy to scale to $3-10k a month if you've got regular writers and everything.

Have you seen the Google Feeds thing and discover tab when you're on chrome, home section of your phone and stuff? Yeah, that's the power of google news.

All of the major sites using Display Ads as monetisation are Old Edition GNews approved.

How to check if a site is GNews approved?

Go to google, and put in the domain name you want to check. For example I want to check if forbes is a GNews approved site so I'll go to google and put in forbers.com and then click on News tab. If the site appears there, it's an old edition GNews approved site.
