Hi everyone,

I'm usually the one giving answers and not the one asking questions on reddit, but I guess there's a first time for everything.

I work for a tutoring website and I feel our current SEO company is not really doing great.

They are building links and creating content for our website, they handle adwords etc but this year we've seen a slow decrease in revenue and users overall.

After further investigation it seems that decline started last year at some point but we're noticing it now.

On top of that our average positions in search results have worsened.

Google search console shows weird things in terms of pages that were indexed before (like a month ago) and now it says they're not indexed any longer etc.

It seems to me that the company might not know what to do with our type of industry (or our niche) and are applying some general knowledge that they have, which doesn't seem to be enough at this point.

Our website is a place where tutors (who are freelancers) and students meet and work together.

So we'd need a company or an individual that has worked with tutoring websites or some service websites (that are similar to ours) so that they can review everything and get us going in the right direction.

Online service industry and tutoring industry are still growing, so it makes no sense why we're seeing a decline except for the fact that something might be off in terms of SEO and Google.
