Can your friends searches help your ranking?

Hey guys,

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

I've been reading and watching youtube videos but can't find any mention of this.

If I tell my friends to find my site by using a search term, will that increase my ranking for that search term?

Basically my thinking is, if a few of my friends use a search term, and scroll until they find my site and engage with my site, that should tell google that my site is valuable for that search term.

Any thoughts and opinions would be great :)

Oh and a side note, I'm not trying to manipulate google in any way, my site is brand new and I'm surprised that my ranking is falling far behind so many irrelevant search results.
