How to rank a newly registered website?

I work in a web development company. Many clients want their website to rank on first page of google. But problem is their websites are newly registered. How to rank newly registered site and how long would it take to rank it. I am taking easy keyword with keyword difficulty upto 20. Currently site has no backlinks.
