What's up with Chrome Dev Tools' and Pagespeed Insights' janky CLS measurements? Clearly not working. I passed the core web vitals assessment on Desktop in January (CLS was the big challenge) and now that traffic has increased with the new year, suddenly CLS jumped up again, but tools still report 0

Really frustrating. Chrome Dev Tools is at least more accurate than Pagespeed Insights (which is basically useless for testing CLS), but you have to test the page over and over again until you incidentally get some kind of crazy-high CLS due to a rare fluke. Most of the time, my pages return a CLS of like 0.003, but the Search Console report is showing something like 0.16.

How are you supposed to optimize for this shit if the tools are so useless?
