The role of blog post's length once we pass 1500 words
I am doing some longtail keyword research and have now found an article within my range. I would like to write a post to outrank it if possible.
I am aware that Google likes informative articles of better quality. Regarding the length, I have read that one would aim for 1500+ words.
The competitor post I am looking at is around 4770 words. Quite lengthy! Does that mean that I should aim for e.g. 5000 words to outrank it? Or are there other factors that precede the length for Google?
To be more precise, the post, despite the length is not very detailed. It contains a long list of solutions with a paragraph on each. My goal is to create a short list of solutions but much more informative.
So, I would like to know if length's role is that pivotal. Do I have a chance to outrank this article with a, say, 3000-word post?
