How do I find an SEO advisor?

Hi everyone. I've been lurking here for a while. Wondering if someone could give me a bit of advice?

I've had an online e-commerce store for about 21 years. I do pretty well. My business is very niche. It's a physical brick-and-mortar business with e-commerce. I'm moving towards a subscription-type model so there is a big change happening structurally. I out-rank most of my competitors on most things.

I've had a lot of luck over the years with SEO and Google noting I've put quite a bit of work into it.

It's getting a bit hard and as my business grows Im getting busy with other stuff. I was thinking to hire an SEO company but I simply don't trust them. I've learned the hard way after penguin / panda in April 2012. I want to do most of the work myself.

*But the thing is I need advice about what to do. I don't have the analytic tools or experience to know what to change. *

I'd like to hire a mentor/advisor who can do that each month and advise me of what to do and how the data is looking. Of what the latest strategies are. Which keywords to target and what my competitors are up to. I'd like to build a long-term relationship with a real pro.

Do you know anyone reputable that takes on this kind of advisory work?
